Nigel Baker - Team Manager and CEO
Nigel brings 20+ years as a successful Managing Director to his role as Team Manager and CEO of the Pure Tasmania and Deloitte Cycling Team. His hard working commitment as a young sportsman saw him represent Tasmania on many occasions in a variety of sports including Football, Touch Football and Boxing. As an instigator for the team's formation, this same commitment and dedication has transferred into Nigel's role overseeing the sport function of the team. Nigel has dedicated many years to junior cycling and has a passion to help provide a pathway and direction for the next generation of Tasmanian elite cyclists.
Nigel’s role as team Manager and CEO is to not only act as the ‘glue’ that binds the sum of the parts together but to energise those around him, giving team members the direction, enthusiasm and vision required in the day to day running of a successful pro cycling team. Nigel’s long term vision for the team is simple; to be a recognised and leading force on the Australian pro cycling landscape.
